Phase One

Initial Consultation

We begin with a no-cost consultation where we discuss your vision, budget, and project timeline. This call helps us gain a clear understanding of what you want to achieve and allows us to offer preliminary advice based on your needs. Whether you’re looking to renovate, remodel, or build from the ground up, this is the perfect time to start the conversation.

Site Assessment

Next, we schedule a site visit where our experts assess the current space and take detailed measurements. During this walk-through, we identify any potential challenges and note the key areas that will shape your project. This allows us to provide a tailored approach and ensures we have all the necessary information before moving forward.

Phase Two

Project Initiation & Team Introduction

Once the scope and budget are finalized, we assemble a dedicated project team, including your project manager, lead contractor, and any specialized subcontractors. You’ll meet your team and receive a detailed project roadmap, outlining the key milestones and expectations throughout the process.

Site Walk-Through & Finalization of Plans

At this stage, we conduct a detailed walk-through of the site to ensure alignment between the project’s design and the actual conditions on the ground. Our team will review the finalized construction plans, address any last-minute adjustments, and make certain that all logistics—materials, scheduling, and site access—are in place.

Phase Three

Securing Permits & Approvals

As licensed and experienced contractors, we handle all the required permitting and regulatory approvals on your behalf. Whether it’s local building permits, zoning clearances, or homeowner association (HOA) approvals, we ensure that all legal documentation is properly secured, meeting every code and regulation required by local authorities.

Risk Assessment & Pre-Construction Inspections

Before breaking ground, we conduct a series of risk assessments, including structural inspections, environmental hazard checks (e.g., asbestos, mold), and utility audits. This comprehensive diagnostic process ensures that we address potential issues early, allowing for a safer, more efficient build.

Phase Four

Site Preparation & Mobilization

Our team begins by preparing the site for construction, including clearing debris, marking out boundaries, and setting up necessary infrastructure. We also bring in heavy equipment, materials, and resources to ensure everything is ready for a smooth and efficient build.

Foundation & Structural Build-Out

This phase includes pouring foundations, framing the structure, and installing key infrastructure like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Our experienced craftsmen and subcontractors work with precision to ensure that every structural element is built to code and engineered for durability and long-term performance.

Phase Five

Interior & Exterior Finishes

With the core construction in place, we move into finishing the interior and exterior. This includes installing drywall, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and exterior elements like siding or landscaping. Every detail is crafted with care, ensuring that the final product not only meets but exceeds your design expectations.

Final Quality Check & Adjustments

Before project completion, we perform an exhaustive quality inspection to confirm that all work aligns with our high standards. We address any minor touch-ups or adjustments and ensure that all systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) are fully operational and up to spec. This final check ensures that your space is ready for occupancy and use.

Phase Six

Final Walk-Through & Client Approval

Once construction is complete, we conduct a thorough walk-through with you to review the finished project. During this meeting, we address any last-minute concerns or adjustments to guarantee your complete satisfaction with the work. Only when we’re certain that everything is to your liking do we consider the project officially completed.

Post-Project Support & Warranty

At Monarch Contracting, our relationship doesn’t end at the handover. We provide post-construction support and a comprehensive warranty to ensure that any issues that arise after project completion are promptly addressed. Whether you need maintenance or have questions, we’re here to help.

Common Questions About Working With Us

  • Yes. We work alongside architects, interior designers, and building managers regularly. On the construction side, we attend design reviews, flag anything that affects structural or code compliance, and adjust our schedule around the architect's drawings. With building managers, we handle the paperwork, alteration agreement submissions, certificate of insurance requests, DOB filings, and coordinate access, elevator bookings, and work-hour restrictions directly, so you don't have to manage that back-and-forth yourself.

  • No. Once work is underway, you don't need to be on site. Your project manager is there every day and will send you updates directly. If a decision comes up that needs your input, they'll reach out before anything moves forward. Most of our clients check in occasionally rather than being present throughout.

  • We do a risk assessment and pre-construction inspection before anything starts, which catches most surprises early. If something comes up mid-project, your project manager contacts you directly, explains the issue clearly, and gives you options before any additional work is authorized. Nothing gets added to scope without your sign-off in writing.

  • We work on a progress-based payment schedule tied to completed milestones, not a large upfront sum. The breakdown is outlined in your contract before work begins, so you always know what's due, when, and what it's tied to.

  • Yes. Monarch Contracting is fully licensed and insured in New York, with $2 million in coverage. We've completed projects across all five boroughs with zero DOB violations. License information is available on request.

Every project tells a story — what will yours be?
